Please note that this course will be delivered online via Zoom.
This course has been developed to give participants the confidence and preparation for involving and retaining volunteers. During the course, participants will be challenged to think beyond what’s needed for the traditional volunteer, gaining an understanding of today’s volunteers and what their organisation needs to have in place to give them a great experience.
This course is for people who manage or supervise volunteers especially individuals who are new to involving volunteers.
This is the 2nd part of a 2-part course where participants will continue to explore “What is volunteer management?” (Attendance to Part 1 also recommended). Participants will learn why people volunteer and how to form deep connections with your volunteers to best support them and create a space they want to return and commit to. Participants will spend time devising a clear action plan for their organisation and volunteers.
We promote the concept of the Volunteer Journey – Plan, Include, Support and Celebrate and cover this in the 2 courses Plan and Include (Part 1) and Support and Celebrate (Part 2). We recommend booking both to get the full benefit of understanding the Journey of managing volunteers.
In addition we offer courses on Innovative Approaches to Volunteering, Volunteers and the Law and Dealing with Challenging Volunteer Situations. These sessions will deepen your knowledge around volunteer management and creating a better experience for you, your volunteers and beneficiaries.
