An introduction to safeguarding and safer practice for Village Halls and community buildings in Suffolk. This short on demand course is designed for you to work through in your own time and at your own pace. It is made available for FREE during Village Halls Safeguarding week after which it will be available to purchase from the CAS Shop. This session complements but does not replace Introductory Safeguarding training
The aim of this short course is:
uTo reinforce that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
uTo provide basic awareness of adult and children safeguarding
uTo provide awareness of the main legal and moral responsibilities for safeguarding incl. reporting to the Charity Commission and DBS Checks.

 

By the end of the session you should:

uSee it: Understand what safeguarding means
uRecognise it: Be able to recognise some of the signs of abuse and respond appropriately.
uReport it: Be aware of where to find relevant legislation and local policy and procedures for supporting and protecting adults and children.
 

This session complements but does not replace Introductory Safeguarding training
