Suffolk Volunteering Conference 2019 - Inspire, Encourage & Enable Diversity in Volunteering

Registration is closed for this event
Community Action Suffolk’s annual Volunteering Conference is focusing on Diversity in Volunteering, during national Volunteers’ Week.

Suffolk Volunteering Conference 2019

National research paper, Time Well Spent, has shown that there can be an imbalance representation of who volunteers in the UK. In Suffolk we have many examples of involving a wide range of volunteers, however more can be done to help extend volunteering and address the imbalance of who volunteers and remove some of the barriers people can face.

Shaped by the Suffolk Volunteer Strategy, the conference will inspire the voluntary sector in Suffolk to lead the way in improving diversity and inclusion in volunteering. It will encourage you to review your volunteer experience and offer, to enable more and continued wide ranging volunteer participation .

Time Well Spent, has also highlighted that a motivation to volunteer and stay is enjoyment! Our conference will also be a lot of fun. A poet will join us to inspire our creative thinking and during the lunch break there will be an opportunity to network whilst singing (No previous experience required!), this offers a chance to laugh and meet new people informally.

It is also Volunteer Week, so let’s celebrate the amazing contribution our volunteers continue to make for the benefit of others.
