A Trustee is responsible for ensuring that a charity is carrying out its aims and objectives as depicted in the governing document. Trustees have to act in the charity’s best interest; manage the charity’s resources responsibility; ensure the charity is accountable; as well as acting with reasonable care and skill.
Subjects covered include: Understanding what a trustee is and what this role entails; Who can be a trustee; Recruitment of trustees; Trustee roles on the board; Trustee liabilities; Reporting requirements; Relationships with other staff members and Governance requirements.
This course is for anyone that is a trustee/ committee member; anyone who is considering taking up the role of trustee; or if you are interested in gaining more knowledge in this area. It will equip you with knowledge and skills, which will give you more confidence in carrying out your role.
